Thomas
R. Clay, DO
Dr.
Clay has practiced Family Medicine in Brimfield for 28 years.
A graduate of the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine,
he is Board Certified in Family Practice and a member of the Massachusetts
Medical Society and the American College of Osteopathic Family
Physicians. As a member of the Active staff of Harrington Memorial
Hospital , he has been Chairman of the Family Practice Department
and is currently Chairman of the PHO Advisory Committee. For the
past ten years, Dr. Clay has been a longitudinal preceptor for
first and second year medical students from the UMASS Medical
School . For the past twenty years he has been school physician
for Brimfield, Holland , Wales and Warren Elementary Schools as
well as Quaboag High School . For the past 20 + years he has been
Medical Director of the Brimfield Ambulance Association.
Married
for 35 years, Dr. Clay has four grown children. He enjoys the
outdoors, golf, sports, gardening and birds. He resides with his
wife, Jane, in Brimfield.
Kim
Vetal, RN, MSN-FNP
A
graduate of Fitchburg State College School of Nursing and the
University of Massachusetts/Amherst Primary Care/Family Nurse
Practitioner Program, Kim has worked with Dr. Clay for over five
years. Prior to this, she worked as a Nurse Practitioner for East
Granby Family Practice in East Granby , CT and Western New England
College Health Services, Springfield , MA . Kim is a preceptor
for students of the UMASS Nurse Practitioner Program. The mother
of two adorable daughters, Kim resides in Southbridge . While
the kids occupy most of her free time, Kim also enjoys reading
and travel.
Harrington
Family Health Center, Brimfield
We
are excited to announce a new relationship with Harrington Memorial
Hospital . Dr. Paul Foster is now working at the Brimfield Family
Health Center site as an employed physician of Harrington Family
Health Center . He will be cross-covering with Dr. Clay while
developing his own practice. Patients seen by Dr. Foster can expect
to be billed by Harrington Memorial Hospital rather than the Brimfield
Family Health Center . With the addition of Dr. Foster, we have
been able to re-open our Fast Track.
Paul
G. Foster, MD
A graduate
of Tufts University School of Medicine, Dr. Foster completed his
post graduate training at Newton Wellesley Hospital and Mass General
Hospital . He obtained his BA from Amherst College . He is Board
Certified in Family Medicine and is an active member of the American
Academy of Family Practice and the Massachusetts Medical Society.
Prior
to coming to Brimfield, Dr. Foster practiced the full spectrum
of Family Medicine, including obstetrics. He practiced 25 years
in Wellesley and the last 15 years in Harvard , MA . During his
career he has been president of the medical staff, a trustee of
the Deaconess-Nashoba Hospital , a member of the strategic planning
committee and president of their IPA. In addition, he has been
a columnist for the Boston Globe on healthcare issues.
In
his leisure time Dr. Foster enjoys golf, birds, music, gardening,
children and grandchildren. He resides with his wife, Carol, in
Sturbridge.
